Sing, dance, love, change with Ballet Philippines and Philippine Opera Company

CANDICE Adea

On March 7, the Makati Shangri-La Hotel Ballroom will come alive in an evening of song, dance and love as Ballet Philippines and the Philippine Opera Company present “Sing, Dance, Love, Change.”

Ballet Philippines dancers will interpret favorite Filipino songs to be performed by the Philippine Opera Company. Candice Adea—the country’s most bemedaled dancer who is acclaimed in ballet competitions in Europe and America—performs with longtime partner Jean Marc Cordero, himself an awarded danseur.

Krisbelle Paclibar, who played the lead role in Cirque du Soleil’s production of “Zaia” in Macau, interprets Agnes Locsin’s “Salome.”

But the event is not only about wonderful music, beautiful dance pieces and an excellent dinner. Proceeds will fund scholarships for dozens of young, talented artists who will carry on promoting Filipino traditions in music and dance worldwide.

Call Ballet Philippines at 5511003 for tickets. All donations to Ballet Philippines are fully tax deductible.
