DLSU writing center and NCCA award Kritika fellowships | Lifestyle.INQ

The Bienvenido N. Santos Creative Writing Center (BNSCWC) of De La Salle University (DLSU) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) award ten fellowships for Kritika 2013: National Workshop on Art and Cultural Criticism, which will be held at the University of St. La Salle (USLS) in Bacolod on April 21-27.

 

The workshop will focus on critical writing in various arts and culture, including literature, visual arts, architecture, film, music and  performing arts. It is envisioned to give young scholars and critics a forum where they can discuss their work and concerns with established art critics.

 

The fellows are: Ronn Andrew Angeles, Glenn Diaz  and Wennielyn Fajilan for literature, John Michael de la Paz for visual arts, Carlo Pacolor Garcia and Cheeno Marlo Sayuno for performing arts, Skilty Labastilla for film, Rowell Madula for pop culture, Raul Navarro for music, Manuel Agustin Singson for architecture.

 

Rolando B. Tolentino, BNSCWC associate for criticism, is workshop director.

 

The panel of critics includes Paulo Alcazaren for architecture), Isagani R. Cruz  for pop culture, Isidoro M. Cruz for literature, Antonio Hila for music, Jazmin Llana for performing arts, Cid Reyes for visual arts, Jose Victor Torres for cultural history, and Lito B. Zulueta for film.
