We’ve heard of local government units’ drive-thru COVID-19 testing initiatives, and of course, you can get tested in hospitals. But did you know that you can also book appointments with some hospitals and clinics for an at-home reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test?
The Food and Drug Administration meanwhile has a list of approved COVID-19 test kits for commercial use that you can cross-check if you’re planning to do your test at home. This list features over a hundred rapid antibody, immunoassay and RT-PCR kits, including the locally-made GenAmplify real-time RT-PCR detection kit.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has also listed the important things to remember when collecting the specimen, performing the test and reporting the results should you conduct at-home testing.
However, at-home testing in the Philippines is still administered by certified medical practitioners to make sure that it is done properly. So if you want to get yourself checked for possible COVID-19 infection without leaving your space, here are some hospitals, clinics and medical providers that offer at-home RT-PCR swab testing.
Angkas
Angkas has partnered with Philippine Red Cross for RT-PCR saliva testing home services. The Red Cross test costs P1,500, with an additional P700 home service rate for same-day booking, or P400 home service rate for advanced booking. Test results can be tracked via their website.

Manila Doctors Hospital
In addition to its walk-in and “park and swab” testing services, Manila Doctors Hospital also set up a service called Roving Med for those who don’t want to step out of their homes. There are two testing packages available: Couple’s for two people which costs P8,500, and family for at least five people which costs P20,000. Take note: There’s still an additional home service fee depending on your location.
As a freebie for your appointment with Manila Doctors Hospital, these packages also come with a free safety kit that includes a face mask, face shield and alcohol.

Healthway

Hi-Precision Diagnostics
Metro Manila residents can avail of Hi-Precision Diagnostics’ at-home COVID-19 services any day of the week. Booth swabs cost P2,800 per patient, while home service swabs cost 3,800 per patient.
