No weekend meal plans? Have dinner delivered from Futur:st’s pop-up

The back and forth between quarantine classifications has been driving everyone crazy—especially the people in the restaurant industry. Dine-in is back to being but a dream, so restaurants have been focusing their energies on pushing takeout menus for people to enjoy safely at home.

Futur:st has launched a series of special kitchen takeovers by friends of the establishment. “In an effort to keep things afloat on our side, we will be doing a series of kitchen takeovers, anchored for takeaways—on top of our F:Kitchen menu staples available for takeout on certain days over the weekend,” the Poblacion mainstay announced on Instagram.

The distance dining experience will feature courses prepared by special guests every weekend. Last weekend, Futur:st featured co-founder and DJ Samantha Nicole. This weekend, the kitchen will be run by recipe developer and “hearty home cooking queen” Trisha Katipunan.

For Katipunan’s stint at Futur:st’s distance pop-up, she’ll be creating an all-vegetarian four-course menu as an extension of her “Have You Eaten” newsletter in collaboration with Future Fresh urban farm.

The dishes you can expect for the second edition of Futur:st’s distance dining pop-up are sarciado steamed egg and tomato chutney, two-hour oven-braised langka bistek with bistek sauce, garlic, and onions, a salad version of the world’s best soup (it’s sinigang, in case you didn’t know), and black sesame palitaw pudding dessert.

Tickets are priced at P1,200 each and pre-ordering is a must. The pop-up is scheduled to run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Saturday You can get your tickets by sending Futur:st or Trisha Katipunan a message on Instagram.
