MANILA, Philippines—Veteran actress-singer and movie producer Armida Siguion-Reyna formally launched her biography, “Armida: Unfinished Memoir—The Singer and the Song,” on Tuesday at Whitespace in Makati City.
A former chair of Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), Siguion-Reyna is probably best known for her multi-awarded musical show “Aawitan Kita,” one of the longest-running television shows in the country.
The unveiling of Siguion-Reyna’s biography, which was written by journalist Nelson Navarro, serves as a celebration in honor of her legacy as a pillar in both show biz and public service.
Apart from family and friends, present at the event were Vice President Jejomar Binay, Senators Grace Poe and Chiz Escudero with wife Heart, Tony Boy Cojuangco and Gretchen Barretto.
Also spotted during the launch were celebrities Susan Roces, Barbara Perez, Robert Arevalo, Gina Alajar, Amy Austria and Lucy Torres.
