Named after American basketball player, shoe salesman and evangelist Charles Taylor, Converse’s Chuck Taylor sneakers are a staple of many wardrobes for good reason. Boasting a distinct, old-school vibe, these classic kicks go well with practically anything in your closet.
Chuck Taylor All Star
When Nike acquired Converse in 2003, a new version of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star was born. A modern take on its predecessor, the Chuck Taylor II incorporates the lightweight lunarlon insole, giving wearers ultra-comfort and pep in their step.
But basketball fans have a reason to celebrate as their beloved sneaker returns to its roots with the release of the NBA x Converse collection.
This marks Converse’s first time to create shoes with trademark elements of the teams from the National Basketball Association.
For now, the Chuck Taylor All Star sports design details of six NBA squads: the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls.
Regardless which team emerges champion in the finals, these sneakers are the real winners.
