For Marc Jacobs’ spring/summer 2017 campaign, they introduced Frances Bean Cobain as their ambassador. This is also Frances’ first dive into modeling.

“I first met Frances Bean when she was [two] years old at a dinner with her mom (Courtney) and Anna Sui in 1994 at Bar Six in NYC,” Marc writes on Instagram. “I have always wanted to work with Frances. Her beauty, uniqueness, and strength is something I have long admired and respected.”
Frances isn’t a massive celebrity (yet) unlike her rockstar parents Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Hole vocalist Courtney Love. But she’s is bound to become a household name soon along with other celebrity kids like Lily-Rose Depp and Iris Law. So we’ll give you some info about this 24-year-old.
#1 A budding artist

Despite growing up in a music-centered household, Frances is more known for her art. She had her first gallery show “Scumf*ck” in 2010 at the La Luz de Jesus gallery in Los Angeles. This collection contained grotesque drawings of people and was under her pseudonym “Fiddle Tim.” It was considered a controversial showcase and was reminiscent to Kurt’s old drawings.
Now, you can check out and buy her works on her website—both in print and on apparel. You can also find more works on her Instagram account.
#2 Produced her dad’s documentary

Aside from being an artist, Frances can also call herself an executive producer for the docu-film Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck. She worked with director Brett Morgen to accurately depict Kurt Cobain’s life, from birth to his death. “When Brett and I first met, I was very specific about what I wanted to see, how I wanted Kurt to be represented. I told him, ‘I don’t want the mythology of Kurt or the romanticism.’ Even though Kurt died in the most horrific way possible, there is this mythology and romanticism that surrounds him, because he’s 27 forever,” she tells Rolling Stones.
#3 She’s not a Nirvana fan
In a Rolling Stones interview, Frances says that she’s not into her dad’s band. “Sorry, promotional people, Universal,” she says. “I’m more into Mercury Rev, Oasis, Brian Jonestown Massacre. The grunge scene is not what I’m interested in.” Shocker.
#4 Playmates with Billie Lourd

When Carrie Fisher passed away, Frances shared a throwback photo taken with Carrie and Billie Lourd. Frances and Courtney Love were also present during Carrie and Debbie Reynolds’ memorial service earlier this month.
#5 Front row at fashion week

Frances was spotted numerous times with her mom at London and Paris Fashion Week last year. Mostly sitting front row at Chanel, Givenchy, and Gareth Pugh. She also attended the fashion week parties hosted by Burberry and Marc Jacobs. So she’s definitely no stranger to fashion and designers.
#6 She can give you the “K.C. Jeebies”
If you’re a fan of Nirvana, you might see some similarities between Frances and Kurt. However, these similarities apparently go beyond appearance as her dad’s friends say that she acts like him too. “They had what I call the ‘K. C. Jeebies,’ which is when they see me, they see Kurt,” she says. “They were all talking amongst themselves, rehashing old stories I’d heard a million times. I was sitting in a chair, chain-smoking, looking down like this [affects total boredom]. And they went, ‘You are doing exactly what your father would have done.'”
