A British boy got in trouble at school when he arrived for World Book Day celebrations dressed as the lead character from racy novel “50 Shades of Grey,” complete with bondage equipment.
I am a diehard fan of plays and musicals. I remember lining up at half-off ticket booths in the morning to score the best tickets for shows, and then running from one theater to another all in a day around West End and Broadway.
It started in November last year, when I called my grandma while standing in the middle of National Book Store’s Shangri-La Mall branch. “La, I’m at National. Are there any books you want from here?”
I had intended to write about the book “50 Shades of Grey,” the “mom porn” which my housewife-friends from Alabang and an independent woman friend from Forbes are all talking about. I had planned to speed-read it (through the steamy sex scenes), but that can wait.
