Alber Elbaz has created a capsule collection for Tod’s Factory, capturing the iconic driving shoe and transforming its true spirit for the next generation.
It wasn’t exactly a scene out of a Super Walmart branch raising its gates on a Black Friday, when American bargain hunters are known to morph into savages as they jostle, get trampled on and even resort to pepper spray to ward off rival shoppers. Still, H&M’s much-awaited opening in Manila Friday morning was unprecedented in many ways.
Lancome’s long-awaited collaboration with Alber Elbaz finally debuted in Manila last June. This is the first-ever makeup collaboration of Elbaz, the creative director of Lanvin, and he chose to “clothe” the makeup instead of creating a new palette, as is often done in other such projects.
French luxury cosmetics maker Lancôme had two big announcements this week: First, its award-winning “youth activator” serum Genifique will roll out an advanced formula on May 3. And on June 15, Lanvin creative director Alber Elbaz will kit out the brand’s best-selling Hypnose line with his familiar quirky sketches.
