Muscular, classically chiseled male models are a dying breed as men are ever more chosen for thinness, even androgyny, in a fashion world playing with the notion of gender.
The designer deliberately blurred gender lines and ventured into androgynous territory with soft men’s shirts accented with feminine touches like ruffles, beadwork, poet sleeves and built-in bows that perhaps even Caitlin Jenner would find appealing.
Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele ventured beyond traditional fall-winter shades like black, gray and deep teal to produce a collection of women’s dresses and separates in such colors as scarlet, hot pink, turquoise, dove gray and terra cotta.
With more and more foreign fashion brands opening stores in the country, some have been saying there are fewer reasons to travel abroad. The brands they like are available locally and priced competitively.
