I have bragging rights to being friends with Chito Vijandre for more than 50 years now.
It will surely be an October to remember as we mount the eighth edition of the Red Charity Gala on Oct. 8 in our new home, the Shangri-La Hotel at the Fort. At the peak of his career 30 odd years ago, Chito Vijandre set his sewing tools down, and said goodbye to fashion design.
“MY style has never changed. I never followed trends, and I still don’t follow them,” says designer Chito Vijandre.
