This brilliant new golden age of Filipino comics has produced talents clearly ready to break out and conquer a new audience. Unleashed at October’s 2012 Komikon, Aaron Felizmenio’s graphic novel “Gwapoman 2000 Book 1: Ang Huling Baraha” (Frances Luna III Illustration Firm, Manila, 2012, 132 pages) is proof positive that the writer/artist is a standout in the local comics scene.
