A few months ago, I was thinking whether I should back out or go ahead and attend my school’s junior prom at Edsa Shangri-La, my first prom ever. A few months later, I was considering attending not only one prom, but two—to be held the Saturday after the first at La Salle Green Hills.
It’s that time of year again when girls don long dresses, guys put on ties, and curfews are extended. Prom season is exciting, but it can be overwhelming, too, especially if you’re not used to dressing up or putting on makeup.
It is prom season—the only time when coeds have their one school night free from all the academic challenges, and the time to have fun with people they love (and loathe)!
It’s prom season once again— and for every teenager excitedly choosing her dress, her shoes, his date, his corsage, there’s a set of parents flitting about in the background, also excited, but also a little stressed.
I can’t explain how I feel about prom. Some people may say positive things about it, while others respond to it with pessimism. Some friends even tell me they find it useless, overpriced and overrated.
