PARIS — A brisk stroll once or twice a week is enough to reduce the risk of dying from heart attack, stroke or cancer, according to a statistical study of nearly 90,000 people released on Tuesday.
Men with highly physical jobs had an 18 percent higher risk of early death compared to those with jobs involving low levels of physical activity.
“The most surprising finding was that having wealth and losing it is almost as bad for your life expectancy as never having wealth,” lead researcher Lindsay Pool said.
