Global brand leader Samsung has just unveiled the world’s most curved TV—after a generation (human-being generation, not tech products) who knew no other TV but flat screen—last Thursday at the Nusa Dua Convention Center in Bali.
After “Yolanda” tore through Tacloban, Samsung (Sepco) president and managing director CL Lee mobilized employees to help those affected by the supertyphoon. He was also instrumental in the $1-million donation by Samsung Global: $250,000 went to World Vision, $250,000 went to the Philippine National Red Cross while $500,000 was given to the ABS-CBN Foundation.

At first glance, it’s pretty clear that the Galaxy Note 8.0 retains the nature-inspired aesthetics first introduced with the Galaxy S3. The plastic body may initially fail to justify its selling price and makes it feel less elegant than other products on the market, but it certainly does a good job in keeping the unit light and portable, which is always a factor to consider.
