The Aranaz brand as we know it today was launched in 1999. But it traces its origins decades back, when Becky, the family matriarch, established her own manufacturing and exports firm. By the turn of the century, the brand became known for its roomy totes and luxurious box clutches made with indigenous materials.
No famous names are going head to head in the 2015 edition of Inquirer Lifestyle’s Face-Off, but this year will be no less formidable, as four of the top local fashion and design schools will be showing off the works of their best students—in one venue, together.
Design powerhouse SoFA Design Institute blazed a trail in the local fashion industry with its recently concluded 2014 Graduation Show. The event put a spotlight on the extraordinary stories spun and translated into edgy and eclectic six-piece collections by 20 of its graduates.
