Blackjacks rise! 2NE1 comeback world tour announced

Dara, CL, Bom, and Minzy are coming back home! 2nd gen stans, it’s your time

Attention Blackjacks: K-pop second generation icons 2NE1 just announced they are making a comeback this year! In celebration of their 15th anniversary, the group will reunite for a world tour this October.

Known for their electronic, dance pop, and hip-hop hits, 2NE1 debuted in May 2009 and pioneered the “girl crush” idol concept. Although the group disbanded in 2016, CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy have occasionally come together for performances, most notably during CL’s Coachella set in 2022.

The group announced the comeback through their social media pages with a photo captioned, “Welcome back, 2NE1.” Former YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk also revealed the group’s anniversary plans through a video interview on the company’s YouTube channel.

“The first girl group YG announced, the first successful YG girl group, was 2NE1. The members of 2NE1 informed me that they’d like to hold a concert commemorating their 15th anniversary. So we caught up and happily discussed making it all happen within this year,” Yang said.

The world tour will kick off in October in Seoul, and is set to continue to Osaka and Tokyo in November and December. Other venues and dates are yet to be revealed.
