Here are a couple of ideas to make your centerpiece stand out. They are simple to put together, and you probably have almost all the materials already lying around.

 

STACK a vase on books.

Stack your vase on at least a couple of books. Use books you already have with interesting book covers, because of their colors or their look, such as vintage books and fairytales.

 

Try to use books of the same size. Your ordinary flower in a vase will look more important, and you can easily create a vignette from there!

 

 

SPRAY metallic silver enamel paint on piece of tree trunk or wooden chopping board to make it look elegant.

 

USE a piece of tree trunk to make your vase stand out. You could even use a wooden chopping board.

Sand it down to take get rid of rough spots and splinters. To make it even more elegant and special, you can spray metallic silver enamel paint on it.

 

Don’t limit yourself to just vases. You can put your salt and pepper shakers on it so they’re easy to find.
