Are you a food addict or just very hungry?

What’s the difference between food addiction and simple overeating? When can people say that they’ve crossed the boundary?

According to JR, “There is a fine line between food addiction and overeating, and it is crucial to identify where one is.”

Some symptoms of food addiction:

*Being obsessed and/or preoccupied with food.

*Lack of self-control when it comes to food.

*A compulsion over food, where eating results in a cycle of bingeing despite negative consequences.

*Remembering a sense of pleasure and/or comfort with food, and being unable to stop using food to create a sense of pleasure and comfort.

*Having a need to eat, which results in a physical craving.
