After officially starting her duty as the reigning Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach finally had the time to do what she wants in her fancy New York City apartment—to eat a home-cooked meal which she prepared herself.

In a photo posted on the Miss Universe Facebook page on Thursday, a smiling Wurtzbach was shown holding a pot on top of a stove.

The said photo has a caption which read: “It’s my first time cooking in my New York apartment. I’m so happy to finally be having a home-cooked meal. -Pia”

The 26-year-old beauty queen holds a Culinary Arts degree from the Center for Asian Culinary Studies.

While Wurtzbach is happy that she would be finally have a home-cooked meal after her media blitz in the Big Apple, eagle-eyed netizens lamented that the most beautiful woman in the universe is cooking her meal on rusty pots.

A certain Facebook user Rowena Hakkaoui said: “I thought the apartment they provide for Ms. Universe would be more lavish than that AND new pots! Please!! Please tell me that’s not a clothes washer in the background.
Yes, I understand that the price for apartment in NYC is crazy expensive but she’s not just any rental. She represents MUO (Miss Universer Organization) for goodness sake.”

Another Facebook user Jackie Beckham said: My goodness you are Miss Universe and that’s the kitchen you have? You’d figure you would have state of the art appliances, beautiful granite countertops. It’s sad that an organization as wealthy doesn’t offer their reigning Queens more plush surroundings. Anyway, enjoy your year.”

Other netizens chided those who pointed the old pots and kitchenware in Wurtzbach’s apartment, saying that instead of lamenting, they should just be happy that the Filipina beauty queen will finally get to cook in her New York apartment.

The said post has been “liked” by more than 86,000 users as of posting time.

Staying in the luxurious New York City apartment is just one of the various prizes which Wurtzbach bagged when she was crowned as the 2015 Miss Universe. The prize package includes the bejeweled crown which is worth $300,000, a film school scholarship, clothing and make-up sponsorships among others. AJH/RAM
