Now you can run and support young triathletes

New Balance Philippines’ Run On Manila + Power Run 2018 is going to make the running season better than ever

Happening on Feb. 11, 2018 at McKinley West in Bonifacio Global City, this year’s twin race means you get more for what you pay for. Aside from getting a good workout, you also help support the Philippine triathlon team.

“There’s a lot of developing young triathletes who need help from companies for the development of their skills,” says Planet Sports Inc. president Anton Gonzalez.

With the recent gold medal hauls of Philippine contingents in international races, this initiative with the Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) hopes to help grassroots athletes in honing their talents and improving their performance, thus potentially molding future Olympians.

“You’ll be surprised at the growing number of kids who are into the sport,” says TRAP secretary general Tom Carrasco. “They need our help to become better.”

This year, Run On Manila and Power Run 2018 come together to offer four race categories in one big event.

Run On is a regional race series, which encourages runners to reach their mark and run an extra kilometer. On its second year, Run On Manila brings back the 5K+1K distance apt for beginners. Power Run is the flagship race of New Balance in the Philippines. Now on its 15th edition, Power Run brings along its three race categories: 8K, 16K, and the signature 25K.

There will also be fun post-race activities and raffle items to be given away to celebrate each runner’s personal achievement. Reaching out to different types of runners, the Run On Manila + Power Run 2018 is the perfect venue for you to reach your goal, whether it is to check off running on that bucket list or set a new record.
