A week before the much awaited coronation night, Miss Universe candidates walked the runway on Monday evening wearing gowns made by Filipino designers.

The candidates wore gowns with the colors of the Philippine flag—red, blue, and white—at the National Gift Auction Gala at the Conrad Hotel Manila.

The charity gala was for the benefit of the Positive Action Foundation Philippines Incorporated and PLDT Gabay Guro program.

The event also recognized ten “Women of Excellence,” including Broadway star Lea Salonga, Olympic champion Hidilyn Diaz, celebrity dermatologist Vicki Belo, international chef Margarita Fores, and Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo.

Former Miss USA winners Olivia Jordan and Nia Sanchez also graced the event. YG/IDL
