Olivia Jordan, Marlon Stockinger to Pia Wurtzbach: You’ll always be Miss Universe

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach may have passed on her crown to a new titleholder, but for the people close to her heart, she will always be a queen.

Miss Universe 2015 Olivia Jordan of USA, who became Wurtzbach’s close friend and roommate in New York, said having Wurtzbach’s as “sister-queen, role model and friend” was the “greatest blessing” of her Miss USA experience.

“Thank you for always being authentically and unapologetically you. Thank you for showing me what it means to work hard and never give up on your dreams. Thank you for being a friend in one of the most rewarding yet challenging jobs of my life,” Jordan wrote in an Instagram post of Wurtzbach’s photo during her final walk.

Jordan said she was hoping that the newly crowned Miss Universe, Iris Mittenaere of France, would continue Wurtzbach’s legacy of “wearing the title with humility, strength and grace.”

“You will always be my #MissUniverse but I am so pleased that you crowned another #confidentlybeautifulwithaheart queen,” she added.

Jordan was in the country to watch the Miss Universe pageant. She first visited the Philippines last year when she sat as judge of Binibining Pilipinas 2016, which crowned Maxine Medina as Miss Universe-Philippines.

Wurtzbach’s boyfriend, Filipino-Swiss racer Marlon Stockinger, also posted this short but sweet message on Twitter: “I’m so proud of you @piawurtzbach and your reign as Miss Universe, you will always be the Queen of the Philippines.”

Wurtzbach on Monday announced that she had signed a contract with New York-based talent management company International Management Group (IMG), which also handled top models Miranda Kerr, Gigi and Bella Hadid, and Tyson Ballou. YG/CDG
