Several candidates eyeing prestigious titles at the upcoming Binibining Pilipinas pageant got some tips from former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach on handling the pageant’s Q and A portion with confidence.

Contenders who are training under Aces and Queens’ Nad Bronce met with the 27-year-old Filipina-German beauty queen, who was chaperoned by her boyfriend Marlon Stockinger. Wurtzbach taught the aspiring beauty queens on how to effectively transcend the “killer” portion of the beauty pageant with her tagline, “confidently beautiful with a heart.”

Among the beauty hopefuls were Dane Felisse Marasigan, Arienne Louise Calingo, Vanessa Saliba, Jehza Huelar, Juliana Kapeundl, Chanel Olive Thomas, Gabriela Mortega, Charmaine Elima, and Leitz Camyll Ang.

Some of the candidates posted pictures with Wurtzbach on Instagram and shared their joy in meeting their classic inspiration in the pageant universe.

“It was such a great privilege to be trained by one of the people I look up to the most, Ms. Pia Wurtzbach. Your words of wisdom are heartfelt. Thank you for teaching us to never give up on our dreams no matter what anyone says,” Marasigan penned in a post.

Meanwhile, Calingo gushed over Wurtzbach’s desirable qualities, intelligence and innate beauty. She captioned her selfie, “Yesterday’s training was on another level! It was so great to have Queen Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach there to give some helpful tips. She is kind, intelligent, witty, and naturally beautiful.”

Just like her fellow contestants, Kapuendl shared how she was starstruck by the former Miss Universe and now runway model. “I was really amazed by her beauty. Can you imagine seeing the most beautiful woman in the Universe just in front of you throwing questions and evaluating your answers? How would you feel about that?” she bragged. Ang, also charmed by Wurtzbach’s presence and beauty, said, “I thought it was just another intense, fun but mentally-draining session. Turned out I was wrong.”

Several TV projects and modeling gigs are in store for Wurtzbach, who recently signed a contract with New York-based modeling agency IMG. Aside from performing her duties as Miss Universe ambassador, Wurtzbach will sit as one of the judges in the newest season of “Asia’s Next Top Model.”  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
