One waitress in North Carolina, United States had the shock of her life after a male customer, who turned out to be YouTube star MrBeast, left her a $10,000 (around P539,000) tip.

Alaina Custer of restaurant Sup Dogs was busy doing her job on Saturday, Oct. 20, when a man came and ordered “two waters,” as reported by WNCT-TV on the same day. After getting his order, the man exited the establishment and left behind a $10,000 tip for the waitress.

His action left Custer stunned. She later learned that her generous customer was no other than Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast on YouTube, who is famous for his creative way of donating. After recovering from the initial shock, she decided to keep some of the money and give the rest to the restaurant’s staff.

“Good people are still doing good things these days so I thought it was pretty cool,” Sup Dogs owner Bret Oliverio said in the report. “I’ve seen some really big tips but not $10,000 this was [out] of the blue, once in a lifetime, it’ll never happen again in my lifetime.”

“I literally didn’t think it was real,” Custer told the News & Observer on Sunday, Oct. 21. “I picked it up and it was a giant stack of hundreds. I was shaking and just kept asking Bret, ‘What is this?’ I thought someone was playing a joke on me.”

Custer said that two men in another table were filming her reaction after she saw the money. When she noticed them, she went up to their table to ask the rationale behind the huge tip.

“They just told me about their YouTube channel and how they were going around blessing servers’ days,” she told the publication. MrBeast returned to the restaurant and Custer “hugged them all.”

“I was so blessed to have that money,” she stated in the report. “I mean, most of us that work at Sup Dogs are broke college kids and that’s going to help me out so much. We got [it] all split it up, which will help a lot of people.”
