Summer is just around the corner, which can only mean one thing: it’s time to update your swimwear collection. We take a look at the hottest new launches this season.
Victoria’s Secret
Lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret stepped back into the swimwear game this summer for the first time since 2016. The brand’s 2019 Swim Collection comprises playful one-pieces and bikinis in a series of vibrant hues and patterns, ranging from snakeskin to florals. The pieces are showcased to perfection in a new campaign starring supermodels Sara Sampaio, Jasmine Tookes and Romee Strijd.
Monki
Fast fashion label Monki is launching its first-ever sustainable swimwear collection this season, featuring recycled polyester and polyamide from PET bottles and production waste fibers. The retro-inspired collection features bold prints and sporty details, with silhouettes spanning off-the-shoulder frills and cut-out details for extra impact.
GabiFresh X Swimsuits for All
Fashion blogger Gabi Fresh has once again teamed up with the size-inclusive swimwear brand Swimsuits For All on a Summer 2019 retro capsule collection of 11 pieces that reference the glamour of the 1950s and 1960s. The flirty series is available in sizes 10 to 26, and riffs on vibrant colors, stripes and color blocking.
Billabong
Last month, the cult surf brand Billabong unveiled its new collaboration with the influencer Julie Sariñana, of “Sincerely Jules” fame. The 40-piece line, which focuses on a boho aesthetic, includes plenty of swimwear options, from candy-striped one pieces to ruffled bikini tops.
Guess
This season, Guess has snapped up model and actress Charlotte McKinney to co-design a 12-piece swimwear capsule dubbed “Icon”. Spanning bandeau and halter bikinis and classic, high-legged one-pieces, the line plays with animal prints, gingham, polka dots and stripes for a bold, fashion-forward vibe. “It’s such a beautiful feeling to be part of the Guess family, to have shot several campaigns over the years, and now to create my own capsule collection is a dream come true,” McKinney said of her latest project.
