The best thing about the new Dope Lemon album is the vinyl design

Okay, well, the songs are pretty good, too. They will cure your anxiety and transport you to high times on an empty beach as required.

Play the record, light a Diptyque, pop an Ambien, thank me later.

If you don’t already know Angus Stone aka Dope Lemon, you might have still stumbled on this on the @ifyouhigh Instagram or the /blackmagicfuckery subreddit.

I’m here specifically to talk about the genius vinyl design of the recently-dropped Smooth Big Cat.

Designed by Australian graphic designer and animator Tee Ken Ng, the vinyl design features cats that appear to walk and run as the record spins. Check it out.

In his work Ng combines op-art and stop motion techniques to create actual magic. He also recently made work for Perrier.
