A moment for the tiger print dress by Dries Van Noten and Christian Lacroix

Paris Fashion Week S/S 20 blessed us with a collaboration we didn’t even know could be possible. Dries Van Noten worked with Christian Lacroix for his latest collection and “It’s so good” to quote my editor.

As a millennial who didn’t get a chance to fully understand the genius of Lacroix before he left the scene, this is a good re-introduction. I just want designers to do their job well in this time that influencers are churning out trendy outfits for the sake of likes.

Between the two, there is a true understanding of the craft. They know how a dress falls when you cut it a certain way. Technique is champion aside from the knowledge of how a fabric flows and how you can control it.

Beyond that, anyone who can make me think that a giant tiger print dress is fun and chic at the same time can take my credit card.

Other pieces that are worth taking note of are the floral oversized pantsuit and the grey sweater and fuschia pants combo.

It’s a triumph from Van Noten and Lacroix, reminding everyone who has the real chops in the business. Watch the full show below:
