“Reflections in Poetry” is a product of collaboration between Clenia Postrado Dimanche, a former International School French teacher for 20 years and a depression survivor, and Mandy Navasero, who graduated from the Brooks Institute of Photography with a major in Illustration and advertising and whose works have been published here and abroad.
“Reflections in Poetry” has 79 haiku verses, 88 photographs, 124 pages in a 6” x 6” book format, like a little coffee-table book, designed by Lynett A Villariba, former art and design director of Inquirer.
Dimanche wrote the haikus to pull herself out of depression when three untimely deaths in her family occurred within a span of less than three and a half years. Dimanche and Navasero had met during the Batanes Photo Safari.
The book will be on sale Nov. 10, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Church of the Holy Trinity (48 McKinley Rd, Makati).
Part of the proceeds will help finance the Ayta communities in Botolan, Zambales. —CONTRIBUTED
