Cacti and bougainvillea in chic setting

With Christmas just around the corner, holiday entertaining is bound to go on an overdrive.

Short of ideas on how to turn your table arrangement into a conversation piece?

Use some simple but chic sense. You can source materials right in your backyard, such as cacti and bougainvillea.

Menchu Katigbak, for instance, used small cacti on a network of twigs to decorate her round table set for a Thai dinner. Nothing huge or tall to block the view of the dinner guests.

Babette Aquino-Benoit plucked the bougainvillea petals and put them in a crystal-clear bowl of water.

Sheila Romero kept the table centerpiece simple to complement her art-rich wall of Amorsolos.

Simplicity is elegance.
