Being in a relationship with her future husband Perry Choi has made Kris Bernal learn some lessons which she cherishes.
The actress spoke about these things she learned from her fiancé through her post on her Instagram page yesterday, Dec. 26, where she also showed holiday photos of them together.
“The most important life lesson I learned from my fiancé: The best things in the world are not in the material objects that one can buy from the store but in the memories we make with the people we love,” she said.
“I learned to appreciate life in a positive way and do things for myself and not from the viewpoint of others,” she added. “I began to cherish each and every small thing/moment in my life.”
Life for Bernal had not been easy this year, but she credits her boyfriend for helping her bravely beat the odds.
“This year has been a terrible year for me, in everything,” Bernal admitted. “And, I wouldn’t be able to survive it without him. Thank you for everything that you do for me, love!”
Last July, Bernal was forced to close her Korean restaurant, House of Gogi, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, saying the year 2020 is “not a year to make profit.” By October, she was finally able to reopen the restaurant again, as lockdown restrictions were eased by the government for select businesses.
The Kapuso actress also gave a warning about how we should treat the people we love: “Don’t try to change people; Just love them! Love is what changes us.”
Bernal and Choi were engaged in February, after Choi popped the question during the birthday party Bernal organized for him. JB
