Life is not always a walk in the park, but for actress Nikki Valdez, one should always be thankful even on a bad day.
“Say thank you when your alarm goes off but you still want to sleep because your eyes opened and you are alive,” Valdez shared via Instagram yesterday, July 7.
Even when we are exhausted or unwell, Valdez believes that we should still “say thank you for the tired and wearisome days because you appreciate more the meaning of rest.”
Valdez also noted that when people seek you for advice, you should be thankful for being able to help.
“Say thank you [to] people who ask for your help and open up their problems to you because that means they trust and know that they can depend on you,” she said.
The actress added that there is an opportunity to be grateful despite the onslaught of big problems “because they give you strength to overcome and patience to be calm and know that there will be brighter days.”
“In everything — big or small, bad or good — give thanks,” Valdez advised.
Ever a positive person, Valdez revealed her and her husband Luis Garcia’s COVID-19 journey last April by posting also via Instagram an optimistic message.
“I guess I just somehow knew in my heart that even with worst going on now and us being infected by the virus, there will be a light at the end of this dark tunnel we are all passing through,” she shared back then. IB
