As a certified plantita, broadcaster Gretchen Fullido has found hassle-free ways of maintaining some kinds of plants which she thinks are perfect for beginners.
Fullido shared with fans and fellow plant lovers tips on some of these plants that she swore are easy to maintain as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, Aug. 30.
“Some of the easiest indoor houseplants to care for: Variegated Anthurium Foliage & what I’m holding – Anthurium Jenmanii round form which was grown from seed,” she said, while also showing photos of the plants.
“When I got the Jenmanii over a year ago in Arid ‘n Aroids, it was so small [and] cute,” she said, adding that she is happy with its “continued growth.” Fullido placed the said plant in one of her bathrooms, by the window, where she assured it thrives.
Fullido also noted that these plants are “very easy to grow and require little care indoors or out.”
“Mine are all indoors and are super low maintenance, in short — matibay sila (they’re resilient),” she observed.
“These plants love humidity — so a shower room or steamy kitchen (indoors) would also be perfect for it,” she added. “They like bright but indirect light, not full sun and likes to be watered when the top couple of inches of soil are dry to the touch.”
Aside from being a plantita, Fullido is an animal lover and environment advocate. JB
