Lyn Ching encourages everyone to register to vote and ‘study candidates’

TV host Lyn Ching is appealing to netizens to register to be able to exercise their right to vote, as well as “study the candidates” in the coming 2022 national elections.

Ching’s plea comes after the Commission on Elections’ decision to extend voter’s registration until the end of October, as per her Instagram page today, Oct. 11, where she posted throwback photos of herself outside a precinct and her finger marked with indelible ink.

“This was me exercising my right to vote and be heard back in 2019 and (swipe) 2016 (with my husband) respectively,” she said, referring to her husband Jose Pascual. “I know we have our differences but at the core of it, we are all Filipinos who want to make this country better.”

“Starting today til October 30, you can STILL REGISTER and take your place in line with the rest of us,” she added, asking the public not to waste their chance and “be the change that they want.”

“Be that ONE VOTE that tilts the axis. Be that citizen who takes his responsibility seriously,” she appealed. “If you are one of many who have lost hope, please, I ask you, to reconsider. If the present makes you unhappy, then change the future for yourself and our children.” JB
