Celebrity mompreneur Neri Naig has started to get some fruit-bearing trees planted in their family farm, aptly called Miranda’s Farm in Alfonso, Cavite.
The wife of Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda shared the good news through her Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 17, where she also showed a photo of a portion of the farm.
Naig enthusiastically enumerated their lineup, mostly fruits: mangoes, bananas, lanzones, rambutan, kalamansi, mangosteen, avocado, santol, jackfruit, duhat, cacao, lemon, dwarf coconut, macapuno, guavas, papaya, siniguelas, longgan, peppers, cashew, kamias, tamarind, chico, pomelo, dragonfruit and atis.
She stated plans of raising a vegetable garden as well, along with planting strawberries. She wants a space for al fresco dining and grilling
Naig disclosed that there will also be a grape garden, and that she has allotted 50 to 100 square meters for red cardinal grapes from Pangasinan.
“After a year, may mahaharvest na kami sa ibang mga tinanim. Luto-lutuan sa bakuran. Hopefully may fish pond na rin kami kung saan makakabingwit ang mga bata ng tilapia at yun ang iihaw namin,” she said.
(After a year, we can harvest what we planted. We can cook at the yard. Hopefully, we can have a fish pond so kids can go fishing for tilapia, and that would be what we’ll grill.)
Naig plans to have a farm house built next. JB
