MANILA, Philippines — Zeah Pala from the Province of Tarlac was crowned Miss Bikini Philippines in ceremonies staged at Palazzo Verde in Las Piñas City on Monday, April 18, in front of a limited live audience.
But the event was witnessed by followers online who watched the spectacle in real-time on organizer ProMedia’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Pala, who also won Best in Evening Gown, bested 24 other aspirants to win P300,000 and inherit the title from Chelsea Fernandez, who won in the pageant’s virtual 2020 edition.
Settling for the first runner-up spot was Vienne Feucht from Quezon City, while Melanie Gillamac from Cebu rounded up the Top 3. They received P125,000 and P75,000, respectively
Also proclaimed runners-up were Best in Swimsuit Sharamie Solocio from Iloilo City and Miss Photogenic Donabelle Erno from Ilocos Sur, who both took home P40,000.
According to ProMedia CEO Paul Izon Reyes, the Miss Bikini Philippines pageant promotes wholistic beauty and encourages overall wellness of body, mind, and spirit.
The Top 5 finishers also earned the chance to become ProMedia’s “beauty athletes” who will receive the company’s support if they choose to join prestigious national beauty pageants.
ProMedia was supposed to hold a competition late last year, after the successful staging of the live edition of the sister competition Miss FIT (Face, Intelligence, Tone) Philippines contest. But the varying pandemic restrictions pushed the beauty spectacle aside until protocols have been eased.
Now with Metro Manila and other places under a much looser “alert level” status, ProMedia mounted what is technically the pageant’s 2021 edition. Pageant director Rodgil Flores told the Inquirer that the 2022 edition of the Miss Bikini Philippines pageant will be held later this year.
