Ces Drilon celebrates birthday at her birthplace — Baguio

She is already a senior citizen, and former broadcaster Ces Drilon walked down memory lane as she opted to mark her birthday in her actual birthplace, Baguio City. In the process, she had a most meaningful celebration with family and friends.

Drilon recalled what it was like in Baguio in the past, as can be seen in her Instagram page today, July 12, where she shared solo photos with bamboo in the background.

“For the next years of my life, I want to live closer to nature and the soil, hence the choice of Baguio City to celebrate my birthday where I grew up – when the scent of pine was still in the air and hills were full of wild sunflowers and not corrugated roofs,” she said.

“Being so close to the bamboo and to touch and feel them is inspiring! You could also immediately sense how the temperature went down under their canopy,” she said.

Drilon wished that the park had more space and “it should also probably limit and space the visitors so they can fully enjoy the place.”

Drilon also calls Mount Costa in Baguio her “happy place.”

“Now let me apply for that card because this is what 60 looks like,” she said, thanking @charievilla @maricarasprec for the photos and videos.

In a post yesterday, July 11, Drilon shared photos of her celebration with her family and friends.

“My family and friends who are closest to me in the place of my birth – can’t think of a better way to celebrate my birthday in thanksgiving and gratitude,” she said. “The next decade is going to be the best yet!” JB
