The monster team-up reigns as the number-one movie in the country for four consecutive weeks
Titans reign as “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” has been the number-one movie in the Philippines since its release last March. The epic monster film is also the first and only movie of 2024 to reach past ₱100 million at the box office, taking the top spot for four consecutive weeks.
This along with the strong performance of Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two”, marks Warner Bros. as the first studio to cross the $1 billion milestone for 2024. “Dune: Part Two” nears $700 million globally, with “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” currently having a worldwide gross of $485 million.
