Once they step into college, a lot of guys opt to just let their hair grow long, as a gesture of freedom from their high school days when haircuts were always monitored and, in some cases, their hair snipped by the teachers themselves.
But how does one manage long hair and keep it from looking flat and lifeless? Laurent Hebert of Franck Provost suggests one particular style.
Using the piquetage technique, a signature style of Franck Provost salons, the hair is given texture using thinning shears to blend layers and create a flowing effect. This technique gives the tresses more lift, with the shorter-cut hair supporting the longer-cut hair, creating body and shape.
How to maintain it: Dab L’Oreal Wax Web on the hair and, using your fingers, comb in a brush-up motion.
