Gucci goes to the street
High fashion and streetwear may be worlds apart, but with the growing popularity and influence of streetwear, particularly among millennials, upscale brands have started to take notice and tweak their image.
These days, luxury label Gucci is regarded as fashion’s hottest streetwear brand, much like cool, in-demand street brands Supreme, Bape, Off White and Vetements.

Young and playful details on its latest footwear and apparel explain Gucci’s attraction to the stylish set: while the brand’s unmistakable green-red-green color scheme is still there, additional features like removable patches, colorful embroidery, glitter, metal work and other embellishments give the pieces a fun and free-spirited appeal.
