A Broadway cancer survivor mentors young singers

Five young, amateur singers assembled a little nervously in a rehearsal room recently near Times Square. This was the day they’d be mentored by a Tony Award-nominated star.

US professor nominated for Nobel dies

Elwood Jensen, an award-winning University of Cincinnati professor nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for work that opened the door to advances in fighting cancer, has died of pneumonia. He was 92.
