Nail polish fans and Chanel addicts have been asking the same question for weeks: “When are they coming?”

By “they,” they mean the three new shades from the luxury brand’s Illusions d’Ombres Collection for Fall 2011— Graphite, Quartz and Peridot.

Graphite is glittery silver, Quartz is metallic silvery beige, and Peridot is a greenish-gold multi-chrome. We like all three.

Quartz is office-safe but not boring, Graphite looks different every time you look at it—it flashes silver, gray, green, blue and gold—and Peridot is unlike any polish we’ve ever seen. Inspired by precious rocks and minerals, the three colors offer unique texture and shine.

Peridot and Graphite have become fast favorites—they’ve been flying off Chanel counters in the US. And this month, the rest of the world gets to catch up. A sales associate at Rustan’s tells us there’s already a list of shoppers waiting to buy Peridot.
