Legal proceedings are not only tedious but also expensive. There is, of course, the Public Attorney’s Office, whose mandate is to represent—free of charge—indigent persons or the immediate members of their family, in all civil, labor, and administrative and criminal cases where, after due investigation.

There are also other organizations like the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) Law Center, which, together with the Intramuros Administration (IA), is hosting a free legal assistance caravan at the Teatro at Fort Santiago on Feb. 29, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
