Calling all Grand Prix fans and music lovers—Singapore brings the Grand Prix Season Singapore 2011 with a celebration and a bang this month.
From September 16 to 25, enjoy a trailblazing experience as renowned artists, high-octane races, and lifestyle events come at you at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Now on its fourth year, the world’s only Formula One night race will happen September 23-25.
“We’ve got the best of the industry, from the hottest international acts to our own performers, so that locals and visitors will have the best Grand Prix Season Singapore weekend,” said Ms. Sherina Chan, Singapore Tourism Board area director for the Philippines and Brunei.
A Formula One ticket gives access to a line-up of more than 300 entertainers and hours of track action throughout the entire weekend.
Starting off the parade of stars is the Philippines’ own singing sensation Charice Pempengco, who will perform on September 23 and 24. Two-time Grammy award-winning rock band Linkin Park hits the stage for a one-night-only performance at the Padang stage on race day, September 25.
Colombian singer-songwriter megastar Shakira will perform on September 24, also at the Padang Stage.
Massive Attack’s Daddy G & 3D will bring an experimental trip hop experience on September 23. UK solo artist Taio Cruz will have an exclusive performance at Amber Lounge, one of Singapore’s hippest clubs, for the Grand Prix After-Party on September 24.
On Sept. 24 and 25, reggae fans can get down to the groove with “Mr. Boombastic” Shaggy while retro lovers can sing along with the legendary showman Rick Astley. DJ and icon Boy George will give an all-out performance, also on the 25th.
