This pink draped high-waisted jersey top with pleats and quarter-length sleeves is simple and elegant enough to be worn at work, and then for a night out.

The beauty of Chanel

As a makeup artist, I look forward to the different collections released by makeup brands every season, and this Spring, Chanel, the brand which has long been synonymous with luxury and class, came up with a collection inspired by the colors of this bright and romantic season—Collection Notes de Printemps, with a chorus of delicate to electric pinks, luminous reds and elegant violets.

 

Model Hiroko Mima’s skin was first prepped using Base Hydra Lumière and Chanel Perfection Lumière for flawless, radiant-looking skin.  Le Blush Crème de Chanel in Intonation was blended softly onto the cheeks to give a warm coral pink flush. Illusion D’Ombre in Impulsion, a pastel pink with silver shimmers, was applied all over the lid for a sheer and delicate glow, before lining the upper lashline using Ligne Graphique de Chanel. Inimitable Extreme mascara was applied generously to both upper and lower lashes.

 

Finally, for the lips, Rouge Coco in Triomphe was used for a pop of soft peach pink perfect for a lovely spring day. To transition to a more sophisticated evening look, accent the eyes using the gray lavender and the intense brown shades from the Lumière Facettes eyeshadow palette, and Rouge Allure Velvet in L’Adorée, a gray mauve, for the lips.
