NEW YORK — Poetry by the late Chilean author Roberto Bolano and fiction by best-selling Norwegian novelist Karl Ove Knausgaard are among the finalists for the Best Translated Book Awards.

Bolano’s “The Unknown University,” translated by Laura Healy, is a poetry nominee. Bolano is known for such novels as “2666.” Knausgaard’s “My Struggle: Book Two,” translated by Don Bartlett, is nominated for fiction. Winners in each category will be announced April 28. Winning authors and translators each receive $5,000. The prize money is donated by Amazon.com.

Other finalists include an anthology of poetry by Russian women and Elana Ferrante’s “The Story of a New Name,” an Italian novel translated by Ann Goldstein. The nominees were announced Tuesday by Three Percent, a resource for international literature based at the University of Rochester.
