Motorola's Iconic Flip Phone is Coming Back with a Vengeance | Lifestyle.INQ

Long before touch screens and larger-than-life smartphones that could no longer fit inside the impossibly small pockets of our skinny jeans, the Motorola Razr was the one of the most wanted gadgets of the early 2000s.

Originally launched in 2004, the Motorola Razr was initially modeled to be a fashion phone but later attracted a wider audience for its size and functionality, with the pink model being the most iconic.

During the Razr’s four-run, its V3 model sold over 130 million units globally and became the best selling flip phone to date. The Razr2 was then released, this time equipped with an external touch screen. Four years after, Motorola resurrected the Razr as a line of Android smartphones.

Now under management of Lenovo, an ad has been released hyping up a new model of the Moto, promising that it will “flip back to the Razr days of yesteryear and get ready for the future.”

The new model is set to be unveiled at the Lenovo Tech World on the 9th of June along with a line of new Moto X Devices.

If this is the real thing, this blast from the past might possibly overshadow newer devices from other brands, proving that some things never do go (cue TSwift) out of style.
