Of course there were hordes of screaming teeners at Taylor Swift’s Manila concert at the Mall of Asia Arena last June 6, but a few chaperoning parents and older folks also showed up to enjoy the gorgeous country-pop superstar’s music.
Easily the coolest senior citizen in the crowd, however, sitting in VIP seats up front, was none other than SGV founder and eminent finance figure Washington SyCip.
It was actually SyCip who dragged along his friend, Silk Cocoon’s Frances Lim, to check out the show. They arrived early, and left early, too.
But the fun didn’t stop there. The next day, SyCip, whom his friend Lim describes as a “cool guy,” also brought her along to watch “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert: The Musical” at Resorts World. Needless to say, SyCip enjoyed the show.
If you’re wondering why Manila’s sprightliest nonagenarian still has such a sharp, open mind—well, now you know.
