Vintage Restore recently celebrated its seventh anniversary at Vask Modern Tapas & Gastronomic Cuisine.

A pioneer in the repair and restoration of designer bags in the Philippines, Vintage Restore is a family-owned business spearheaded by matriarch Edna Cruz, who has been in the bag manufacturing industry for 32 years. Her children, Trisha Cruz-Cuason, Lally Cruz-Dizon and Martin Cruz, have joined the business to help clients with their luxe leather-care needs.

From the first branch on Jupiter Street in Bel-air Makati, Vintage Store now has stores in White Plains, QC, and on the lower ground floor of the Podium Mall.

It’s in partnership with most of the major luxury brands in the country, which refer their clients to Vintage Restore for servicing. It has also been serving clients from Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Vintage Restore is not your typical repair shop. It has expanded its services to restoring shoes, luggage, leather jackets, belts, wallets and even leather watch straps.

Bag designer Cruz-Dizon also offers bags and accessories using exotic skins, while Cruz-Cuason, the store’s in-house “bag doctor,” also offers vintage jewelry pieces from her Treasure Trove line.

For the seventh anniversary, the company tapped eight accomplished women who best represent Vintage Restore, in a mini fashion show showcasing their precious restored purses.

They were: Sheila Romero, owner of Oracle Hotel Residences and Roku Sushi Ramen; celebrity chef and stage actress China Cojuangco; celebrity photographer and Nice Print owner Charisse Tinio; Philux marketing head Stephanie Kienle Gonzalez; Fah Lux jewelry and Fae soaps and candles owner Macky Fah; Julie Jalandoni Boschi of the Shangri-La group; lawyer Karen Jimeno; and actress Maricar de Mesa.
