“I like clothes that tell a story,” she says as she unpacks one leather bag after another. “I got these from Nice, France, for 5 euros each.”
In between takes, the 18 year old sings the Jackson 5 classic “I Want You Back”; Humphries then takes out a leather sketchbook to reveal a piece she had been working on earlier that day, further proof that she’s, indeed, a Renaissance lady.
It looks cool with the makeup, yeah?” she asks as she brings out some of her beauty essentials, Viktor & Rolf perfumed lotion and MAC’s Extra Dimension powder and strobe cream.
“I like having a glow without too much makeup. Oh, and I love Maybelline mascaras.”
Humphries tells yet another story of how old school rock has shaped her style and how afternoons with her dad playing “name that singer or album” started her musical education.
“I think what I’m really set out to do is become a person of substance. My parents let me delve into the arts. Music and modeling aside, it’s all just a matter of being happy isn’t it?”
